The audience for mine and Billy's product would be more of a niche audience, as we hope to appeal to a young teenage/adult audience. As our film is more low budget and dramatic, it would only be shown in more lesser known cinemas. We hope to appeal to boys and girls, however with a female lead, girls may relate to it more. Social class is not a factor in deciding our audience, as this can be a way of seeing how this character lives, it can be seen as escapist or realist. We use a teenage female lead in our film, as to appeal to younger audience. We felt that people our age could relate to Alisha, as she represents a social class people can relate to or have seen before. We felt that appealing to a niche audience, would draw in more interest from younger people, as younger people don't tend to see "indie" films, we wanted to target them and hopefully interest them.
